A tribute to……..
A tribute to the Dutch master, who proves to stay contemporary since he keeps the public captured with his work still today. And since it’s the year of Rembrandt we choose to honor him wit this design.

Rembrandt started his career in the 17th century. In those days people would say that they were on a brink of modern civilization. VOC, the first multi national emerged, introducing exotic herbs and exploitation. It brought prosperity and wealth to our claygrounds. The fashion trend was stiff but gracious. Black was the bomb. The Flemish, Portuguese and Spanish influence the 17thcentury hipsters in the street scene. And the millstone ruff rocked high society. It all vanished, surpassed by newer ages, gone. But Rembrandt still lives along, ruling the art world and being strangely contemporary as ever ( :

Design Candy Warhol is the fourth (and for now the last) Warhol design in line. It is also part of our Museum Collection
This could very well be seen as a big tribute to Warhol. But than again it is also a re-use of his postmodernist ideas. These ideas were rooted in the concept that every image or outing can be art, even a label of a soup can, even the face of Mao Zedong, Marylin Monroe or Beatrix the ex queen of the Netherlands. And art can be wall paper, mass print, xerox, readymade and even commercial as well. Andy Warhol was a frontman, the pusher of this concept. So, in honor of this thought we flipped Andy’s name back and forward and did the same to his face. And, he can only approve from above!

The word rebel has a brave connotation. You might even say it is Rebelicious to rebel. But it has no meaning at all if the reason or the cause it self is lame of selfish.
Not sure what to think of it but what we do know that social media is the engine that fuels the mindset of the masses..
The question that raises is if the anger towards the governments is justified. Who is responsible for prices going to the roof and increasing environmental taxes and who holds the key to change.
The truth is that we, the common people, the consumers are as much responsible as anyone else. If we make different choices, on daily basis, we are able to change our world into a better one. Even a small gesture of one person can make a difference.
Why don’t we rebel against multinationals that are polluting our world and exploiting the less beneficial? Why are we keep shopping like crazy and ignore the sources of unrealistic cheep products? Why do we support unhealthy & powerfull companies as Mc Donnalds & Coca Cola by eating and drinking stuff that is a hazard for your body and environment? And what about the endless support of the biggest crooks of all, Facebook? What about it? Non of this can be settled by any government.
On the brink of X mass I would say; take a closer look at your own behavior if you want to revolt and change the world. Change is possible. It starts here.

6 months ago we decided to make an effort for an intercultural cross over with the most sacred ground for fine arts; the museum. In other words, we made an effort to get our shirts in the museum giftshops.
In order to get it there we had to create a catalogue with our finest ‘art’ selection. We guessed that the visual language of our catalogue must be very high brow according to the stylish atmosphere of a museum. White walls, cool architecture, amazing art and contemplation are the museum ingredients we flavored in to our catalogue. We added our own distinctive designs and unique and autonomous models to show them off, as if they were the museum walls, showing their colored canvas to the audience.
The english version is in first print (only 5 pieces) and we do have our digital publication on issuu.
This fall we starting our museum campagne it would be mainly digital. Of course we keep you posted.

Entry trough the gift shop
6 maanden geleden besloten we om een inspanning te verrichten voor een interculturele cross over met de heilige grond der schone kunsten, het museum. We bedachten dat de visuele taal van onze catalogus best ‘high brow’ zou moeten zijn gelijk de stijlvolle atmosfeer van een museum. Witte muren, gave architectuur, verbluffende kunst en overpeinzingen zijn de museum ingrediënten die we als smaakmakers in onze catalogus hebben gebruikt. We hebben daar onze kenmerkende designs en unieke, autonome modellen om ze te tonen aan toegevoegd. Alsof ze museum muren waren die hun kleurrijke canvas aan het publiek toonden.
De Nederlandse versie wordt binnenkort geprint in kleine oplage. De digitale catalogus is te vinden op Issuu.
Deze herfst beginnen we onze campagne, deze campagne zal grotendeels digitaal zijn.We houden je natuurlijk op de hoogte.

Hereby we share with you a little sneak behind our scenes. Soon you will be introduced to our museum cataloque. A new and experimental step for us to move our product towards museum shops in the Netherlands and abroad. There for artful poses from beautiful unique and totally natural models was needed to give shape to our shirt designs (and catalogue) In case you wondered were our designs are……..The designs are edited later on to the white canvas of their shirts.
Bij deze delen we een klein kijkje achter de schermen. Binnenkort zal je kennismaken met onze museum catalogus. Een nieuwe en experimentele stap om ons product richting de museumwinkels in Nederland en daarbuiten te krijgen. Daarvoor waren mooie kunstzinnige poses van onze mooie, unieke en 100% natuurlijke modellen om vorm te geven aan onze designs (en catalogus). Voor het geval dat je je afvraagt waar het design in dit geval is gebleven…… dat monteren we pas naderhand digitaal op het shirt.
